I have been intending to add more to our Free Downloads page for a while now. But like many things in life, I have been sidetracked and this just seems to get put off. While there will be more to come, I wanted to share a procedure that I follow to mount prints, drawings, pictures and other media on plywood using epoxy resin.
A few pieces I have mounted recently.
As you might be able to tell, I used to write procedures to
manufacturing medical devices. With that, I have included lots of detail and
extra instruction. Mounting art using resin can be a very rewarding process and
give a beautiful result. But it takes patience and attention to detail. If you
open these instructions and immediately think “this is too long” (i.e., TL;DR),
then doing this is probably not for you. No matter if you have done this before
or if you are just getting started, this procedure will help you do it better. And
best of all- it’s completely free!
