I hate waste. And epoxy is expensive. So, I made these simple couplers to scavenge the last bit of epoxy from my containers. They connect the containers end-to-end (opening/mouth to opening/mouth), with one upside down, slowly draining into the container you want to keep. They come in a pair, one black and one white so you can make sure not to accidentally mix any of the resin (white cap) with the hardener (black cap). I use MAS Epoxy and these coupling caps are made to work with their containers. Specifically, MAS Epoxy uses F-Style plastic containers ("jugs") produced by the Cary Company that have a
38mm neck
(38-400 neck finish) but it will work with their Industrial Round and Square containers that use the same neck style. While I made these for Cary Company containers, they likely work with just about any container that has a 38mm neck (e.g., automotive fluids, hydraulic fluid, oil, dairy/milk, etc.). Using them is easy, just click on the "Instructions" tab above and follow our recommended procedure. The key benefits of our Scavenger Cap include:
Saves the last bit of epoxy for future/small projects.
Reusable.
Easy to use.

We are making these on-demand.
The Hidgit Scavenger Caps are easy to use! Here is our recommended procedure:
1.
Leave the container you want to drain on its front side with the cap down (see pictures) for a day or two (allowing the resin to settle on that surface). This will prevent the resin from collecting in the handle section of the container when inverted.
2.
Screw on the Scavenger Cap to the container you want to fill. This container will remain upright.
3.
Holding the two containers at a ~45° angle (not fully upside down), then quickly screw on the container you want to drain to the other container with the cap already installed (the collection container).
4.
Leave the containers connected for a few days to allow the resin/hardener to flow into the container you want to keep.
Tip-
Work fast to connect the containers before the epoxy starts to flow and makes big mess!
